CHANGES WILL STREAMLINE CHARITABLE GAMING

POLICIES, PROCESSES

 


VICTORIA Charities in B.C. will benefit from long-awaited changes to charitable gaming policies announced today by Solicitor General Rich Coleman.

 

"We're removing some rules and conditions that unnecessarily restrict the ability of charities to access or generate gaming funds," Coleman said. "We trust charities to manage their resources responsibly. These changes will ensure they can use gaming funds in the way that best meets their communities' needs."

"We're providing flexibility for charitable organizations to help them become stronger financially and continue the important role they play in supporting programs and services throughout the province," said Coleman.
