BC Coroners Service rules out drugs, alcohol in “Party Bus” incident

BURNABY – The BC Coroners Service has confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol caused the death of a 16-year-old youth who collapsed while aboard a “Party Bus” in Surrey.

Fraser Regional Coroner Vincent Stancato said that the post-mortem toxicology examination did not identify any alcohol, drug or medication that would suffice to explain the death of Ernest Azoadam, which occurred on Feb. 15, 2013.

Mr. Azoadam was aboard the bus with friends when he collapsed. He was transported by emergency personnel to Surrey Memorial Hospital where efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The coroner’s investigation into the cause of the death is continuing.
